Abstract

The online community Gamebrarians has been around since autumn 2020, bringing together people who have a passion for video games on the one hand and a professional connection to libraries on the other, or who aspire to do so. Based on a survey among the nearly 200 members in spring 2023, the community and its stories are presented and analysed. At the end, there is a conclusion and the question of what we as the library world can learn from the Gamebrarians about community building.
