Forschungsdatenmanagement in den Geisteswissenschaften an der Universität zu Köln

Abstract

Research Data Management (RDM) is of increasing importance in scientific-political discourse as
well as in everyday scientific routine. National and international research infrastructures, networks,
discipline-specific data centres and institutional competence centres each have their own angle
of approach towards the challenges in RDM. This contribution introduces the Data Center for the
Humanities at the University of Cologne as an example for a university data centre which specializes
in the field of arts and humanities.
